FitSM® Foundation (Alternative for ITIL) - eLearning (exam included)
With the introduction of FitSM, the open source, lean ITSM (IT Service Management) standard, the service management industry has a lean approach to taking advantage of the most widely used best practices. What does FitSM offer that you don't already know? The short answer is that you should use the guidelines alongside your ITIL® or service management implementation program. It will lead to faster and more visible results and success. This article provides a few recommendations for you to consider.
FitSM®
Many organizations use the IT Service Management standard to organize their IT and information technology-related activities into customer-oriented services.
Initially, organizations achieved this by using the core guidelines and Best Practices of the IT Infrastructure Library. However, with few exceptions, only a few processes are applied, mainly in customer-facing IT support. FitSM® is designed for professionals who want to acquire the competencies needed to implement effective ITSM processes without having to delve into the intensive details of other frameworks. While Best Practices lack some elements for standardization, FitSM® is designed to implement auditable standards in these core processes, thus focusing on the essence of IT Service Management.
What can organizations do with FITSM®?
- The steps to implementing the full set of IT Service Management processes
- Improving an organization's IT service delivery - using a concise, lightweight and achievable ITSM standard
- Application of effective ITSM processes in federated environments - where services are managed in collaboration with competing or disparate organizations
- Successful management of specific ITSM processes.
